Rose
Rose is a nine yr. old 15.0hh Thoroughbred mare. She is a very dark chestnut or a light liver chestnut, I am not sure which. Rose is registered with the Jockey Club but her papers were lost by a previous owner. She never raced because she has a crooked leg. Her left front leg is twisted to the inside from the knee down. Our vet has examined her and he believes it was crooked in the womb. If her breeder had noticed and she had received proper treatment, her leg would be perfectly straight. Due to her leg, she hasn't been trained much on the ground or under saddle. She has very nice conformation and lots of hock action. She is very green. Basically walk and trot. Despite her leg and lack of any training she is very light to the aids and wants to please. I plan to use her in my sport horse breeding program. She was bred to Ruben O in May of 2002. He is a Dutch Warmblood by the one and only Ulft. Rose and Ruben have a bay filly.Rose was bred to Nico, a Pinto Dutch WB/Friesian cross. On April 28th, 2004, Rose foaled a beautiful dark chestnut and white pinto filly! If this filly were solid black she would look like a purebred Friesian! Rose is due in the spring of 2006 to Sempatico. He is the only German approved Homozygous pinto in the US!
